The Bettendorf Bulldogs inaugural football season occurred in 1951 and 50 years later, research for this project began. Launched in 2002, this site stands as a dedicated archival and historical hub, showcasing Bettendorf's profound history of remarkable success with a focus on its achievements.
The Bulldogs have consistently excelled on the gridiron, capturing numerous state championships and producing talented athletes who have gone on to succeed at the collegiate and professional levels.
The community's passion for the sport, coupled with dedicated coaching staff and a tradition of excellence, has solidified Bettendorf's enduring legacy in the annals of Iowa high school football. If there is one constant in the world, it is that All Roads Lead To Bettendorf Football!
The Bettendorf Community School District was established in 1907 and currently serves nearly 4,600 students from preschool through 12th grade. The district spans approximately nine square miles, covering much of Bettendorf and a small section of Davenport, Iowa.
The Bulldog Athletic Boosters are proud supporters of Bettendorf High School and Middle School athletics, dedicated to raising funds for student athletes and teams. This passionate Booster Club is led by committed volunteer parents and generous community members.
Bettendorf is the premier city in Scott County, Iowa, and ranks as the 15th largest city in the state. It is also the third-largest city in the Quad Cities region, part of the Davenport–Moline–Rock Island, IA-IL area. As of the 2020 census, the population is approximately 39,102.
